Nice for the kids but that's about it. The actors all did well I must say and there were some funny bits of text here and there. That little conspiracy theorist is especially funny. This whole story is pretty crazy but in the end the stories of Ghostbusters are always pretty crazy. Not long ago I watched Ghost Busters 2 and that is really a bunch of craziness what you get, but I can't stand it that well anymore.

This movie looks pretty good and you don't watch it so much for a solid story, the story is never solid, it's also ridiculous but you watch it for the crazy ghosts, the humor and the action. And nostalgia, let's face it.
When I watch this movie I have to go with the fact that the little girl just turns into a Ghost Buster from one moment to the next. Why? Those guns and everything look quite complex but without practice or reading anything she knows exactly what to do. In this small village where they go there is a mountain and on top of that mountain you have a well. When you go into that well you have a large room with a corpse. There is nothing to do in this village but no one has ever gone into that well. I'm not going with this. There are too many of these things that make you look at something that makes no sense. It also seems that the writers and creators of this don't mind at all. But they really could have made this all better... For children it doesn't matter that much, but as adults you look at well-designed dredge. Not a movie that will stick around for a long time and I don't think there's any way it can stick. I complain a lot about superhero movies, but a superhero movie is quite good if you compare it with this.

In 1984 I saw the premiere of the first Ghostbusters, in 1985 the premiere of The Goonies. It was as if I was on 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' watching a mix of these two films, but of course with the techniques and effects of 2021. Very well put together, attractively filmed, good cast; certainly with the old guard and old attributes. Unfortunately, it all started a little too slowly, so the ending had to be finished a little too quickly. Nice that Harold still participated (deceased in 2014). If you watch this movie without seeing the original from 1984, you're missing out on a lot and this 2021 version doesn't really come into its own. Anything made in between that has 'Ghostbusters' in the title doesn't come close to the 1984 and 2021 versions.
