New York City is plagued by harsh weather conditions during the summer months. Everything, including the inhabitants, is being frozen in record time. Watched this and thought it was a nice video. I had read a few negative reviews, so my expectations were somewhat low, but it was still not too bad. We already knew the new cast from the previous film, but in the new one the old guard have a bigger role than in the previous film. There is already a large team involved in this film (although the focus is mainly on the new ones).

Now the story itself was okay and not boring. It also looked good.

Just like with the previous one, there was also a scene between the end credits, so stay tuned.

All in all a relaxing film.

Ghostbusters saved the franchise with Afterlife after it seriously went wrong with the 2016 reboot. A nice mix of your own new start with the necessary nostalgia. Not a top film, but wonderful cinema that both young and old could enjoy. With Frozen Empire, the makers think they can get rid of it easily. The story is quite poor and we have had some nostalgia in the meantime. Fans will like all the references, but the original film is now 40 years old, so it's time to move on. Throughout, the film searches for a way between the old guard that is back, but has lost all its luster, and the new group that barely comes into its own due to the large group of characters. A little more focus on one of the characters would have been better. It never gets bad, but the messy story makes it not very interesting and you still have the feeling that you have seen it all before.

Entertaining indeed. That first scene alone is well put together, nice and clear too. It's also great that the plot keeps the mystery hidden for a long time and at times the emphasis is on young Phoebe, who is portrayed well. I think you also notice the writer Reitman here, the family is simply portrayed nicely. Another moment between Rudd and Coon when he wonders how far he can go in his role as stepfather. Excellent and very realistic.

It's a pity that the finale is a bit rushed, the film doesn't really surprise anywhere, it's visually boring and Nanjiani has the most annoying actor of the moment with unfortunately a quite large role. He's really never funny and all moments with him are completely dead. Furthermore, the film is a bit crowded with young and old and, with the exception of Phoebe, no one really gets enough attention. 3.0*.
