Dune: Part One, was a good movie.

But this one is really phenomenal!!!

Denis Villeneuve delivers his best film to date.

For me also the best sci-fi film in years & the best film of 2024...

Yes, I say best of this year, because no film can do better than this, impossible.

Once again a very strong performance from Timothée Chalamet & Zendaya. (top duo).

=> everyone was very good, but those 2 bring the film to a very high level.

More action, spectacle, emotion than the first part.

Wonderful camera work with fantastic epic images.

Seen in IMAX & still recovering.

I will definitely watch this again in the cinema

I would say go and see it & ENJOY this spectacle!!

I've seen a lot of movies in the cinema.

But I haven't experienced this much yet.

This film is pure cinema, for which people want to go to the cinema.

I'm not going to say much, because you just have to experience it yourself.

Everything was great: story, cast, action, spectacle,...

Denis Villeneuve is a crack!!

Bring on Dune: Part Three (hopefully not too long).

Reasonable.

Part 1 is slow, cumbersome and doesn't get going. One would think that part 2 is faster, but nothing could be further from the truth. Once again Denis Villeneuve opts for a heavy, cumbersome film. Once again too many pawns have to be placed. There are even some additional characters introduced. Not surprisingly, most of those characters come off poorly.

The extensive star cast can be put into perspective here. The biggest shortcoming is simply Timothée Chalamet. Very, very mediocre actor. I really don't see it. The fact that Zendaya still comes out okay for me is telling.

Villeneuve can make it a visually beautiful spectacle again. The budget was clearly not only used on well-known names. I like the sleek world he creates.

So his pacing is less good. The film just doesn't flow for two hours. The weighty atmosphere is often downright ridiculous. The religious and prophetic nonsense really bothered me. It's a good thing that the last half hour suddenly becomes lively. Finally the fire hits the pan. Pawns are finally being moved, and some pawns are even being eliminated. This second part ends with quite a bit of tension and excitement and I will soon pay 14 euros again to see part 3 on the big screen.
