"The manual of love has a new chapter."
A love story of three different couples, divided into three segments. "Giovinezza": Robert is a young ambitious lawyer who, in addition to his marriage to Sara, has an affair with the handsome and mysterious Micol. "Maturita": Fabio, a well-known TV host who has been married for 25 years, is overwhelmed by an unexpected but fatal encounter with the intriguing Eliana, who turns out not to be who she claims to be. "Oltre": Adrian (Robert de Niro) is a divorced American art history professor who decides to live in his ever-beloved city of Rome a few years after his divorce. Here he falls in love with Viola (Monica Bellucci), the daughter of the caretaker of the building where he lives.

The Italian language, landscape, and its beautiful women will always capture the imagination if presented well.
In this film, this succeeded, and moreover, the theme was love.
Women might also like this film because of the socially successful male characters.
In my opinion, the 5.7 for the film on IMDB is too low.
It is therefore desirable that this film be watched more often.

A typical Italian romantic comedy with a touch of humor here and there and exaggerated sweet scenes. The film consists of three stories. The first story is a love story where a lawyer has to arrange something in a small village with quite a few strange and busy characters, where he has an affair with Micol (Laura Chiatti). However, he feels guilty because his future wife Sara (Valeria Solarino) is waiting at home. The second story is perhaps the funniest, as an older man, Fabio (Carlo Verdone), has an affair with the lustful Eliana (Donatella Finocchiaro), who actually comes from a psychiatric institution. The third story is the most romantic of the three, about two friends, Augusto (Michele Placido) and Adrian (Robert De Niro), where daughter Viola (Monica Bellucci) comes to visit her father, Augusto. Naturally, through a series of coincidences and events, Adrian falls in love with Viola, and vice versa. Perhaps a bit far-fetched, but both play their roles credibly. Bellucci is once again a stunning presence here. Meanwhile, this film was made 15 years ago already, which is clearly noticeable today in Bellucci's appearance, who is of course getting older too. But I remain a fan of hers.
