Although Halloween 2 by Rob Zombie has quite a few nice moments, I think it is a disappointment in its entirety, also in the revision. I can understand that the director wants to give a simple slasher a little more substance, but with the exaggerated symbolism that he presents here In my opinion, he misses the point quite badly. The character of Sam Loomis is also very far from the original and mainly causes irritation. What Zombie does well are some beautiful kills and a few very nice camera shots, but otherwise this is a cabinet of curiosities that does not convince enough. What is nice - for me anyway - is the presence of one of my musical favorites Jesse Dayton as Captain Clegg.......... Also a very nice poster by the way.

The first remake was not too bad for me, I'm not a fan of remakes so I didn't expect much from it, it was actually quite good. So I went into this film in good spirits, unfortunately I came home from a cold fair. It has nothing to do with its predecessors, in my opinion the characters could have had a different name, especially Laurie, the strong woman in the original, here the terribly unstable girl with a big mouth. Michael Meyers who is seen without a mask for more than half of the film, terrible! Just when he has his mask on it makes it exciting, you don't know who is behind the mask, now there was no tension at all. Meyers making noise was also a great annoyance to me, Meyers is known for the fact that he hasn't said a word for years, very unfortunate that you do hear noises now. Actually, I didn't like very much about this film, the acting was decent, I didn't have much to complain about, but the film itself was definitely not my thing. I think there was a lot more to get out of it. The film does start reasonably well, until she woke up from that dream, from then on it went very downhill.
