Sunshine plot
"In a time of revolution, in a family torn by tradition, one man was consumed by love."
The film follows several generations of the Jewish Sonnenschein family in Hungary, against the background of political turmoil and war. The family gradually works its way up to a life of prosperity, but each generation is confronted with the Jewish roots of the family and has to make choices between its own identity and the social position that is pursued. The greatest desire of successive tribesmen is to belong in their own country.
