Prinsessa plot
"Happier than the rest of us?"
Cabaret dancer Anna Lappalainen (Katja Kukkola) wanders from one home to another until she ends up in a psychiatric institution in 1945. Both the staff and her fellow patients soon realize that she suffers from serious delusions. She claims to be "Princess", a member of the English royal family. Although a patient herself, helping others becomes her life's mission. Meanwhile, the staff cannot agree on how to cure her of her delusions. Doctor Grotenfelt (Samuli Edelmann) is a proponent of modern treatment methods, but a new procedure, lobotomy, is emerging.
