Hélène, a woman from the higher society circles is upset because her beloved Jean loses his interest in her. She wants revenge. She arranges a meeting between him and Agnès, a former cabaret dancer, in the hopes that the two will fall in love. What Jean does not know is that Agnès has a past as a prostitute.
