Kind Lady plot

"Prisoner in her own home!"

Wealthy and charitable Mary Herries is tricked by aspiring artist Henry Abbott into letting him and his ailing wife Ada reside in her stately home. When Henry's friends Mr. and mrs. Edwards for a visit, they also stay in the house longer than planned. Days turn into weeks, leaving Mary and housekeeper Rose increasingly annoyed and hoping everyone will leave.
