Kainan 1890 plot
"A Story of Friendship and Compassion"
1890. Several hundred men from the Turkish frigate Ertugrul go on a diplomatic mission to Japan. Although the long journey is marked by all sorts of tensions on board, the crew finally arrives safely at their destination, where they successfully complete their mission. On the way back, however, the ship is caught in a devastating storm, which capsizes and kills more than 500 people. Only 69 crew members, including unapproachable Lieutenant Mustafa, survive the disaster and can save themselves. They are stranded on a nearby Japanese island.
