Camille plot
Romantic drama, after the opera 'La Traviata', which is based on the famous book 'La Dame aux Camelias' by Alexandre Dumas Fils. Greta Scacchi plays the Parisian courtesan Marguerite Gautier, who falls in love with the charismatic youngster Armand Duval (Colin Firth). Marguerite wants to give up her frivolous lifestyle to marry the boy. But his father, Duke de Charles (John Gielgud), manages to put a stop to that. He manages to convince her to leave him alone. This is especially difficult for Marguerite, but also for Armand.
