The Last Casino plot
Doug Barnes, a college professor of mathematics, has been in deep trouble due to his gambling addiction and is in huge debt. He has been banned from his local casino and the mobster 'The Usurer' wants to see his money. Short of time, he decides to recruit three of his top math students, promising them $1,000 a night in exchange for a little simple math. He teaches them card counting and while successful at first, it turns out it has its temptations too. The pressure is even greater when 'The Usurer' wants his money, about half a million Canadian dollars, back within one week. And if this fails, the students will share in the fate of the professor.
