Jail Busters plot

"YARD-BOIDS in a GILDED CAGE!"

Chuck gets a job at a newspaper. When he gets promoted, he has to go undercover in the state prison to dig up some information about some of the inmates. When one of the inmates beats up Chuck and sends him to the hospital, it's up to his friends Slip, Sach and Butch to finish Chuck's job. Slip decides he and the boys must commit a crime so they can be sent to prison. Another reporter, Cy Bowman, agrees to inform the prison that the boys are working under cover for the newspaper once they are arrested. However, Bowman does not keep his promise. The trio are then forced to serve what they believe is a short sentence in jail.
