Flodder in Amerika! plot
In this sequel to Flodder, the local council sends the Flodder family to the United States for a cultural exchange program. The Flodders see this American trip as an opportunity. At the New York airport, the Flodders are mistaken for a Russian delegation of scientists and end up in the chicest hotel in New York. From this hotel they independently explore New York, with all the disastrous consequences that entails.

poor.
More of the same, but mostly just a bit lame. Charlie with all his misfortune is funny for a while, after a while it becomes tedious in a way. The gimmick is not a joke in itself.
In any case, a running time of 2 hours is at least 20 minutes too long for comedies of this kind. Hopefully the third part is a bit better.

Well, I thought the first movie was great, funny and refreshing. Flodder was really put on the map and has become a household name in the Low Countries. I liked this second part a bit less. On the positive side, all known characters can be seen again.
That wrong switch is one thing, but I can hardly assume that that mistake is made again and again and by everyone. Ok, it's top shelf, so logic is hard to find, but it was a little too bright.
Sjakie had quite a nice subplot and the scenes in New York's Moulin Rouge were also quite nice. In terms of humor, I didn't always find it successful. Flat and entertaining as I read above, that actually sums it up perfectly.
