Entertaining.

Maybe a bit cheap and clumsy at times, but this British Doghouse is certainly entertaining. Normally I don't really like these comedies, Severance for example was very mediocre. Shaun of the Dead wasn't as great as I thought either.

He has gore, humor and sometimes successful moments. Especially the first one is the best, since these films need that a bit to stay upright. The humor was also quite successful at times and the zombies also looked funny.

Not really recommended, but great entertainment for an evening.

Nice and clumsy.

A basic horror/comedy movie. Not a second serious, not a second subtle, but with enough gore and silliness to make the 90 minutes fly by. You don't see them that often anymore, so it's extra fun to discover this film.

A bit of a scare because it seemed to turn out to be a standard zombie event, luckily the zombies/zombirds are a lot more fun here (and they are also pimped a bit more halfway through). The gore is more than sufficiently present, yet this remains mainly a comedy, because the tone is always light-hearted.

It is certainly not subtle, you should not expect that from a British film with a lot of half-drunk guys in the lead. Anyone who knows Dyer a little knows what to expect. But it is amusing, fortunately the film has no dead moments and, thank God, does not deviate from its main genres. So nice nonsense.

3.5*

Bland and technically rather weak horror comedy, only sporadically funny. For such a film, however, a fairly capable cast has been gathered, with solid actors such as Stephen Graham and Noel Clarke. Unfortunately, they cannot prevent the film from really getting off the ground anywhere. It lingers a bit in underwear fun and 'scary' moments that miss the mark in terms of timing. Pretty funny here and there, but it's too thin and too predictable.
