Pleasant, quite cruel crime film, with a good John Travolta, but above all an excellent one

Salma Hayek, as a ruthless partner in crime. James Gandolfini is also strongly present again,

but when is that actor actually not!

If it's a nice, entertaining movie, give it 4 stars.

Big setback.

I usually like these kinds of serial killer pics, but Robinson limits himself greatly by focusing largely on the detective rather than the killers and their horrific deeds. Instead, we get a somewhat confused story about a detective who seems to have quite a few problems with the death of his wife. The potentially atmospheric setting also does not come to life, and Travolta and Leno act only moderately. Hayek seems to be the only one on level. It's still nice to follow, but it doesn't really convince.
