Esther plot
Xerxes, king of the Persians, organizes a banquet for his people to display his wealth. When he orders his beautiful wife Vashti to show her beauty, she refuses. The king banishes her and orders the most beautiful young virgins in the land to be brought to him. The Jewish Esther, Mordecai's adopted daughter, is one of the chosen women. Esther manages to seduce the king with her beauty and charm, and she becomes queen. Haman, Prime Minister of the Kingdom is a fervent Jew-hater. When Mordecai refuses to bow to him, his hatred grows. He introduces a law to kill all Jews. Mordecai asks Esther to help. At the risk of her own life, Esther saves her people.
