Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story plot
Benjamin S. Carson does not have an easy childhood: no father and he is not very good at school. Determined to do something about this, his mother encourages her son to read several books a week and teach him math. Benjamin also has to contend with a short temper and this makes learning even more difficult. In the end he manages to commit himself, enters a medical school and works his way up to become a famous, successful neurologist.
