David plot
In Israel there is division, so that the domination by the Philistines continues. What the country needs is a strong leader who can join forces. Prophet Samuel designates the humble farmer Saul as the first king of Israel. But in his struggle against the rulers, Saul becomes in despair. Samuel is forced to look for a new king. God leads him to the young shepherd David. David is the only one who dares to take on Goliath. With his sling he kills the giant and the shepherd is brought in as a great hero.
