Driven plot
"How a lemon became a legend."
California, 1977: playground for the rich and famous. Sun-drenched, sexy and fueled by a load of 'Colombian snow'. Maverick car designer John DeLorean is a gambler and cunning businessman. DeLorean is committed to designing the ultimate car of the future, a sports car with wings. DeLorean's neighbor Jim Hoffman can barely support his family but lives well beyond his means, leaning financially on a cheap artist. Jim soon discovers that DeLorean's life is teetering on the brink of collapse. When Jim is arrested by the FBI with a shipment of drugs, he teams up with FBI agent Benedict Tisa to bring in DeLorean.
