Shrek plot

"The greatest fairy tale never told."

The evil ruler of Duloc (little Lord Farquaad) has banished all fairytale characters from his land. The figures, including a chatty donkey, flee to the swampland of the ogre Shrek, who is very private. Farquaad makes a deal with Shrek: if he rescues the beautiful princess Fiona from a castle guarded by a dragon, Shrek gets his land back.

Watched it again after a long time, still a fun movie! The world of Shrek with all those fairytale characters is nicely conceived, and Shrek and Donkey have a nice chemistry. The story is simple but entertaining, the ending is very predictable though. In addition, there are many funny jokes incorporated, which will be better understood by adults than by children. The movie is also full of fun and recognizable music, which is a big plus. The animation is of course a bit outdated, but that doesn't get in the way too much.

Nice movie to watch again, the characters, jokes and songs are still nice, even if the story is not too special, 3.0!
