“I'm gonna kick your ass and then I'll take your ass to jail.”

The beginning of the fantastic duo Tucker and Chan. The story is a standard police/bad guy story, but as a buddy cop movie Rush Hour is very entertaining. The light-hearted tone is interspersed with some nice action scenes and especially Jackie Chan can show his fighting skills. Tucker is also strong as quick-talking and arrogant Carter. Together they are a golden duo.

One of my favorite buddy cop movies that I've seen dozens of times. The last time, however, was many years ago. Despite the passage of time, it remains very entertaining.

Rush Hour is a fantastic combination of action and humor. Both Tucker and Chan are both actors that you should like. There are people who spontaneously zap away at the sight of Chan's antics. I love it. The same goes for Chris Tucker who goes after the females with his smooth chat. Wonderful facial expressions too, a pity that he has so few films to his name. In combination with the more serious Chan a golden move.

There's not much to the story, but the embarrassing, comical and dangerous that the two constantly roll into make for a continuous smile.

That Tucker is so funny. What a great facial expression and a hilarious voice this man has. I've doubled up a few times. And then we also have kung-fu master Chan, who is of course quite on track with his martial arts. The story is wafer thin, but that should certainly not spoil the fun. You should not take the film too seriously, because then you will have a wonderful movie night!
