Love & Basketball plot
"All's fair in love and basketball."
Since she was ten years old, Monica Wright has had only one dream: a professional career as a basketball player. She shares her passion with her new neighbor Quincy McCall, who is the son of a world-famous basketball player. Though the two grow up together, it isn't until high school graduation that they discover that they have more in common than just a love of the sport. After a short romance, however, the crush gets into a rut because they differ too much on the playing field. Quincy and Monica shoot through to the top, but lose sight of each other.
