Pretty much everything has been said about this film already, and I've seen it so many times by now, but I enjoyed it the tenth time again, and again I remembered how I laughed out loud in the cinema at the time when I understood what Major Arnold Toht (the amiable Nazi with the imprint of the chapter of the Staff of Ra in his hand) was going to do with that torture device, just like when Indy takes care of his opponent in the market square when he has a huge scimitar draws. The scene in, on, next to, behind and under the truck remains unparalleled, and how often do I say to myself when I see another reliable politician on TV: "Top... men ." The ultimate adventure film.

The beginning of the adventures with Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford is still in shape, so the film has more action than its sequels. Raiders of the Lost Ark is therefore an adventure film with the necessary action and a touch of humor. Gradually, the line between ode and self-parody has become ever thinner.

The film is a succession of legendary scenes that were later parodied so many times. Spielberg shows again that he can make a blockbuster. Several of his films are a bit dated, but the real spectacle films like Jaws, ET, Jurassic Park and his Indiana Jones films are certainly still doing well. He manages to find the balance between light-hearted scenes and semi-caricatural enemies without drawing it into absurdity. Add epic music and the perfect look for the protagonist with his hat and whip.

Brilliant classic that, except for the submarine scene and some dated visual effects, has withstood the test of time and still easily ranks among the best adventure films of all time!
