Angry Max.

I've seen every installment in the series now, but haven't reviewed the first one yet. So with this one, I'm going to do that for a while. I remember the movie quite well for a production that was made a while back.

Gibson fits his role well, he just kind of has that look. It also doesn't lack charm at all. The rest was often a bit exaggerated, I really didn't like the fuss about the Night Rider at all, but the film sometimes knows how to choose its elements well.

The revenge that the film revolves around would have liked twice as long, and therefore feels a bit rushed. The rest of the movie was ok, the chases of the gang are portrayed ok. Reasonable action/thriller that falls short on some elements.

Bad.

Very dated, this classic. Mad Max looks very amateurish to me 40 years later, in acting, in sound effects, etc

A very young Mel Gibson is nothing to write home about, but so are his castmates. The so-called 'post-apocalyptic' world - or at least the world of a society in decline - remains rather vague to me, since everything still looks pretty much the same. The setting is little more than some Mongolians driving on an empty highway.

Not my thing.

Never seen this movie before. And after watching the other parts, I think this is the least.

In this story I feel that there is not yet a dry world where everyone has to fight to survive.

Here's more just a biker gang causing rubble and destruction. Also violent at times, but a lot less tension and sensation than the other parts.

This is, of course, the start of a new kind of series of films, which a lot of people are now stealing.

So definitely worth watching, but in my experience this is the least part.
