Kraven the Hunter plot
"Villains aren't born. They're made."
Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff has been told by his father never to show weakness. After a near death experience with a lion, he has super powers. Since then he has been a hunter who knows how to locate his prey with the help of the animal world. Among other things, he will compete against "The Rhino".

Shit, maybe I was a bit too enthusiastic again and unconsciously created expectations. For me the most normal thing in the world, because everything that has to do with Spidey touches a sensitive chord.
I'm not very familiar with Kraven, but have seen some intense confrontations in the comics here and there. He is portrayed very well here by Taylor-Johnson, a very cool actor, although his accent is not very convincing. He has to carry the entire film, because the rest of the cast consists of extremely uninteresting characters. Russian Crowe does indeed seem to repeat his accent from Pope's Exorcist, another part of Europe I think. Furthermore, Calypso, Dimitri, The Foreigner and unfortunately also Rhino are all boring turds. The dialogues are also mediocre, I was actually shocked when I saw Chandor in the director's chair. Fortunately, the action keeps it somewhat fun.
So yet another unconvincing Sony Marvel collaboration, Venom remains the best at that.

Sure there were some stupid things and the cgi wasn't strong everywhere, but I really enjoyed this movie. Aaron plays great and looks great. It's not over the top, they keep it nice and small. The ending was also quite surprising.

It's a shame to see how the Sony Spider-Man movies are running themselves into such a mess. Because unlike the MCU they usually look for something original and also try to do visually than the known mainstream view in the MCU movies. But there is little attention for the acting and sometimes even bad. The script could be better and especially the dialogues are very poor. You miss someone behind the wheel who just dares to go all the way.
Kraven The Hunter was not too bad in the cinema. It is something different, although you stay in the same genre. But it quickly becomes monotonous and not very surprising. Aaron-Taylor Johnson does quite well, although he has done better. Russell Crowe shows once again how he has become a B-actor. For a while it seemed that there was more in it for Ariane DeBose, but it ends in a dead end. And Alessandro Nivola is the most annoying enemy in a long time. Too bad, because Kraven the Hunter had something in it. I think the tap at Sony will be turned off completely now. But it can easily be turned back on later when they take the time to recharge.
