The film follows a cat traveling through a drowned world where no humans seem to live anymore. It looks like a futuristic version of Noah's Ark, after a climate disaster (or a biblical flood).

Refreshing, such a film where animals remain animals and still have adventures and help each other. Completely without a single spoken word. Only the graphic style I found a little disappointing. Everything lacks a bit more sharpness and detail. It is as if I am watching an old PC game with a too low resolution (that labrador did not look so good), but nevertheless I give this a 4* because it often looks magical. The animation of the animals is absolutely the biggest asset here.

A cat lives alone in a furnished house with only cat statues for company. During a sudden flood/deluge, the cat ends up in a sailboat. There it is joined by a caring water pig, a loyal dog, a resourceful lemur and a noble secretary bird. Family film without dialogue: the animals communicate exclusively with real animal sounds. Dialogue is also superfluous because the cat's expressive eyes and facial expressions are so authentic that every viewer (and especially cat lovers) understands what the cat is thinking and feeling. The poetic denouement is simple, but extremely moving. Wait until the end of the subtitles to find out what has become of the whale!

Children may find the film interesting (although it will be too scary for the very young) but I was simply bored. A cat has 'adventures' with the elements and encounters with other animals when a flood submerges everything, with a few animals being gathered in a boat as a kind of Noah's Ark (after which the water disappears again and the forest returns). The animals are half animal (they also cannot speak) and half human in their behaviour (whereby they become each other's friends and save each other's lives). The message will undoubtedly be something like that we are creating a flood ourselves (climate change) and that we, like the animals in the film, must leave our divisions behind us in order to unite to save nature, but in my opinion the film as a film has nothing interesting to offer.
