Phenomenal. Part one was already one of the best action films of this decade and part two goes over and above that. The mythology is brilliantly deepened and the action is portrayed even better than before. Much bloodier than part 1, which is probably a letdown for many people, but for those who can handle that, this is really a gem. If Stahelski manages to keep part three at this level, we'll probably be dealing with one of the best action trilogies ever in a few years.

Crashing cars, sliding engines, countless fights, moaning opponents, explosions, headshots, men in suits menacing between the lines, shadows, rain and empty ammunition magazines bouncing around in dimly lit corridors. Did I forget something? Oh yes, a grim Peter Stormare. Basically a kind of Four fists of the devil but then with shooting guns, knives and pencils. Absurd: Reeves and Common firing at each other from different floors in a subway station without anyone noticing, but moments later you hear the announcer saying businesslike "This is the end of the line" when Reeves practically killed Common , do you understand that the makers are very aware of what they are doing, even if there is not an ounce of explicit humor or irony in the film unless it had to come from Laurence Fishburne: "You're not very good at retirement." Reeves: "I'm working on it." John Wick: chapter 2 is an ultimate example of style over substance, but I liked it better than the first part.
