I would like to bring this average down. What a dragon of a movie. Somehow I was hoping the Russian boys had something to do with his wife's death, but it was the dog that killed one of them. That's it, revenge over a doggy. I can imagine it in real life, but to make an action movie about it?

Actors were mediocre, Reeves had some dramatic and at times laughable one-liners. If you like mindless action then you're in the right place, but the story is incredibly feeble-minded. The protagonists who remain in the end are insanely removed from the story, as if they had to temporarily tape the ending. Apart from that, the film is nicely portrayed, which makes a mark of 2 in my opinion.

However, because of the high numbers, I'm making it a 0.5. The average should not be above 3, this website should still carry some form of solid reliability. Not recommended, absolutely not even.

Not really my type of movie. The story is unbelievable and quite predictable.

The beginning is still nice, but the film quickly relegates into mindless shooting.

I find the action scenes boring and uninspired.

The acting is still decent, but not really top-notch either.

The musical accompaniment in the film varies from meaningless to very annoying.

Every now and then the film still manages to positively surprise with beautiful camera work.

1,5*

What a rare bad movie. Ex-super dangerous dude gets sucked back into the life he wanted to leave behind. Where have we seen that before? It's not bad at all that the clichés are connected (is it raining during the funeral? ); sometimes it's nice to know what to expect and in this case I was in the mood for some good action and despite the bad acting and the awkward start of the film you are well prepared for what is to come: this John Wick really needs a be a superkiller and he is out for revenge... Fine, come on! And then there are uninspired fight scenes with a wooden Reeves who has trouble reloading his guns quickly but can shoot very accurately (which, strangely enough, falters when his main target is within range) and fortunately doesn't suffer for a while. of the undercount situation when he needs a little more time for an opponent. If you are going to make a cliché film, then take a good look at those who have gone before you (Bourne, Taken, Die Hard, options galore).
Well, the storyline isn't that interesting either. The film seems to have to do its best to complete the hour and a half. The finale is laughable (no guns, Wick!.. oh no, he has a knife!.. is it raining? ). Reeves also definitely falls through the basket as an actor; that scene where he is strapped to the chair yelling his threats at Viggo is really a bit embarrassing; does he have to sound dangerous? or angry? or desperate? really no idea..
The only reason I don't give half a star are the cleaning service/dinner reservations and the Continental Hotel. Those are nice finds. Everything else is bad.
