Badly written, made, played... no, this curious blaxploitation work has clearly not stood the test of time very well. However, lovers of funky retro soundtracks will get their money's worth, as will lovers of big tits who jump out from behind too tight blouses.

Yep, what a great blaxploitation movie this is with nice action moments, brutality in terms of handling and dialogues, some cool stupid scenes such as the woman fight at King's party and of course Pam Grier. Thought the revenge scenes were well put together and it wasn't always easy for Coffy, even at one point she was in a very distressing scene where she even comes out credible. Sid Haig can also be seen as one of the members of Arturo Vitroni. Robert DoQui as King George is fun and Booker Bradshaw as Howard was also good in his role. But the star of the movie is Pam Grier with her two celestial stars 7/10

Coffy is a color.... One of the movies that inspired QT's "Jackie Brown". Very violent blaxploitation with the one and only muse of this genre : Pam Grier. She can't really act, but two thick silicone-free whoppers and a well-loaded shotgun are more than enough to enforce justice. I especially noticed the brutal scenes : the head of the dealer who gets blown off in the first scene, King George who is dragged behind a car with a noose around his neck, the women's fight, the finale .. Coffy is not to be found for diplomacy. A true illustration of blaxploitation, but there are still some better ones in the genre...
