"The few. The proud. The totally insane."
Air America was the name of the private air link the CIA had with Laos during the Vietnam War. After Billy Covington loses his license to fly, he goes to work for Air America, only to find himself among a group of wacky pilots busily engaged in gun and drug smuggling.

Very disappointing video. A film that is mainly a strange mix of action and comedy. For example, in the field of action it is very boring and the humor does not work at all. The film was also conveyed too cheerfully for me too often and that while the humor is not even fun. In terms of the amount of action, it was also not much and the film takes too long with the running time. Mel Gibson itself was nice playing by Robert Downey Jr. I was less enthusiastic.

Mediocre film in which a pilot loses his permit to fly and starts flying in Vietnam during the war. The story lacks focus and the characters don't really captivate. Even Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. don't really know how to hide this. Beautiful locations and a few spectacular moments, but they certainly do not save the film as a whole.

Insanely good action/war/comedy film that captivates from start to finish. A must see for all fans of this genre. A young Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. play the stars of heaven in this highly entertaining movie. This movie gets a well deserved 5 stars from me.
