"They're tip-top snoopers in the tip-toe racket!"

The Bowery Boys -Slip, Sach, Bobby, Gabe, Whitey and Chuck- accidentally end up in the world of detectives when the girl Eleanor Williams disappears. The disappearance becomes a bigger mystery when Tom, her husband who went missing three years ago, resurfaces. Slip and his friends pick up Eleanor's trail at Dr. Rolfe Carter. Slip sees the doctor being killed, but doesn't know who fired the fatal shot.
