"Everyone Has A Breaking Point"
Actress Amy Sumner (Kate Bosworth) returns to her hometown in the deep south of the US with her husband, Hollywood screenwriter David Sumner (James Marsden). Amy's father has passed away and they are moving into the family home. Once there, conflicts quickly arise with the locals and tensions in their marriage mount. When Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie (Alexander Skarsgård) gets involved, a violent confrontation ensues.

If you have never seen the film, may I advise you to go see the original version (1971 with Dustin Hoffman, among others). In terms of valuation (3.52*), it scores much higher and the whole is better. This is just a repetition of moves, even the covers of the DVDs are similar. Not very original right?

This remake has everything to make it a pretty good movie. The bullying is palpable to the bone and that's what it's all about when we talk about Straw Dogs.

The whole time I felt like , this is nice but something or something is missing . That may be true because I now read that there is also an original and this a remake. And the original is quite praised .
It can not be the game , especially Skarsgard is quite threatening .
But apart from all that, I think the story with Jeremy (purcell) actually belongs as its own whole and did not fit into the story. I wonder if that was also the case in the first version .
You actually know from moment one that there is a figurative thunderstorm in the air . And then it storms.
Best spicy final
Other than that, not very impressed.
