Besa plot

At the start of the Second World War, Filip, the director of a gymnasium in a small Serbian village, is called up to fight in the war. He will have to leave his wife Lea, who teaches music and dance, all alone. Azem, an illiterate paternal Albanian who is also the janitor at his school, vows to take care of Lea and not let anything happen to her. But circumstances cause a forbidden love between Lea and Azem.
