In Ispahan, Persia, Hajji Baba leaves his father's barber shop expecting to earn more money elsewhere. Meanwhile, Princess Fakzia tries to persuade her father, the Caliph, that she can marry the handsome yet evil Prince Nur-El-Din. However, Fakzia's father plans to marry his daughter off to a friend and ally of his and he is already making plans to have his daughter travel to him. But then a courier brings a message to Nurel-Din that he is waiting for Fakzia's escort on the outskirts of town and that he wants to kidnap her. Fakzia manages to escape from her father's palace disguised as a boy. Hajji encounters a warrior from Nurel-Din on the outskirts of the city and a fight to the death ensues. With his barber tools, Hajji finally manages to take out the soldier. Then Fakzia arrives on the spot and she mistakes Hajji for a warrior of Nurel-Din.
