The Comfort of Strangers plot
"A story of passionate obsession."
A young couple spends their vacation in Venice to rekindle their deadly relationship. When they get lost in search of a restaurant one evening, they are helped by Robert. He invites them for a drink, and with his grotesque stories he manages to keep their attention. When the couple returns to their hotel, they are confused and feel physically out of order. But when they meet him again the next day, they accept his invitation to come to his apartment. After this visit, the couple notices that they are growing closer to each other again, but at the same time they are drawn further and further into Robert's web.
