Ok, I am a lover of mathematical theories as I am a bit of a nerd myself. A Beautifull Mind is one of my favorite movies. But let's not give up.

The story seems very mathematical and genius, but it just feels fake. The mathematical solution to the whole hunt is just… too crazy for words. A sum of money?? 1,2,3,4? That's it?

The sex scenes of Elijah Wood and Leonor Watling made me swallow. I'm not used to this from Elijah Wood! With his rather skinny build… well, I didn't think it looked great. Leonor Watling's breasts, I think, took the viewer's focus.

On to John Hurt then.. yes.. I couldn't help but think he reminded me of Sir Leigh Teabing from The Da Vinci Code. It's really just a kind of ripp-off.

I thought the classic British atmosphere suited the film and the genre. But yeah, I feel like I've been fooled. I'm not pleased.

Rating: 2*

Just like the beautiful breasts and buttocks of the beautifully built Leonor Watling, this film actually has nothing to do with it. It's about a quasi-intellectual plot, in which a bunch of professional idiots try to solve a murder - of which everyone immediately knows who the perpetrator is - by using mathematical equations. Who would come up with such a thing?

Besides the cringe-inducing scenario, the acting is also of a sad level. You can expect that from John Hurt, but from Elijah Wood it can be called disappointing.

The character of John Hurt and his mathematician mumbo jumbo makes this a pretty irritating movie. Blah blah and blah again... all the time, incessantly. I couldn't care less about the whodunnit because there is hardly any tension and rhythm in this plot. Although I must confess that the denouement was very surprising. Pretentious movie.
