The Far Horizons plot

The film is a romanticized version of the Lewis and Clark episode of American history. Louisiana has passed from French to American hands and now Lewis (MacMurray) and Clark (Heston) set out to explore the region with the help of the assertive Native American Sacajawea (Reed).
