crap! Has to be the worst movie I've ever seen after Eraserhead and Being John Malkovich. Why have I wasted my money on such a nonsense? 0.5 stars

Fairly.
David Cronenberg takes his time with Dead Ringers to have his say. The film is often a slow burning fire. A psychological drama, with some thriller elements here and there. I suspect that works great for some, but I'm missing a bit of urgency. Although the developments speak for themselves, and it is also just excellently portrayed by Jeremy Irons, it is rarely really exciting. I wasn't on the edge of my seat, even though I potentially could (or should) have.
