The best mary kate and ashley movie i've seen.

Entertains and looks good and even has a single funny moment.

Also nice that Eugene Levy plays in it, he's always funny

Nothing super special, but fun. And yes it is also predictable, but if you are going to complain about that you are not completely familiar with the genre .. :')

It's not often that during a movie I nod ostentatiously no. This bone-thin, fire-breathing dragon cremates everything that compelling, comic or simply entertaining cinema stands for. The fire brigade stands there and looks at it, only to realize quite quickly that nothing could have been remedied. This bad product is hopeless to the bone and the only thing that more or less soothes the pain is a tube of burn ointment afterwards.

The three stars I previously assigned to this had fortunately just celebrated their fourth birthday, but a true mystery nonetheless that even at the age of sixteen I was unable to distinguish between good and evil. I mistook Satan for God, when in fact God was dead.

Fortunately, a simple substantiation is easy to summarize. The acting is extremely annoying. Only Levy was allowed to mold a pair of grins on my usually amorphous face. The twins, the gullible villain, and above all the truly horrific friends, who keep invading the story in the most implausible ways, make you shudder. It actually gave me red cheeks. 'New York Minute' has also succeeded in converting pure irritation into a kind of physical shell, which must be removed with a scrubbing brush afterwards. Unfortunately not as easy to puncture as the bubble that the misfire essentially represents.

In addition, the silly side plots, not to mention the common thread, are anything but fascinating, all the more because fringe activities are often added to the Chinese braids. Unnecessary split screens and torturous background music playing in an infinite loop just add to it.

Also a nice video.

Not very bad, not very good. Obviously this is a youth film, but it's always a shame that the directors seem to think that the films don't require a lot of effort in writing and directing. This film also often has not very good writing / directing.

Also my first contact with the Olson sisters. As a duo then, I've seen them pass by in other films, but usually in supporting roles or separately. As a youth duo, this is my first touch. In any case, they seem to have found their niche in the genre.

The sisters are also doing well in the end, but at times there is some amateurism. As if she didn't quite dare here and there. They certainly have a certain appearance, but unfortunately they do not escape their reserved attitude, which is sometimes noticeable.

Plot is rather standard and predictable. Except that the writing is a bit simpler and lazier. It looks like Gordon was doing his own thing at the helm and then being pressured to throw in some more errands and moralism. When the film makes the serious sound, it feels so sudden and forced that it doesn't want to work.

The rest of the film lacks pace. The direction occasionally shows smooth things, but Gordon focuses too little on the speed, which makes the film occasionally not too interesting. I think the humor only works best for the youth. Levy occasionally hits the right note. Richter was also nice as that taxi driver at times.

It has become a standard production that unfortunately does not want to look further than the standard line. Gordon keeps it all very safe after a pretty remarkable opening shot. Unfortunately, the momentum that the film could have saved is also not in it.
