The eight-part Furious is an exhilarating crime drama by Elizabeth Meriwether, who was previously showrunner for the original Dying for Sex and the intriguing The Dropout. Meriwether is a gifted screenwriter who digs deep into the human psyche, exposing traumas. This is also evident in Furious. The cat-and-mouse game between a female serial killer (Lola Petticrew - Say Nothing, Bloodlands) and FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum - The Crowded Room) is not groundbreaking, but it is filmed with extreme ingenuity and suspense. Rossum is in excellent form and brings to mind the best moments of Claire Danes in Homeland. Combined with a lively, socially critical crime story, Furious is a multifaceted and exhilarating rollercoaster ride.

A very well-structured series. The characters are well-developed without giving everything away immediately. Each episode has sufficient tension and build-up that makes the entire series worth watching. Psychologically, the series is also well-crafted and allows you to step into the characters' shoes. The series was very good and, at the same time, a complete and well-rounded, very good story, which actually makes me hope that there won't be a second season.
