What an incredibly fresh and fun movie this is. I'm into the coming of age movies anyway, but rarely do I see such a catchy film as Little Manhattan. The voiceover is really nice from Hutcherson throughout the movie, we see the whole movie through his eyes and so we also get to hear his vision of life and love. That, of course, is that typical 10-year-old, short-sighted view that boys have about girls. Result: you are watching the film with a big smile. In any case, I find the interplay between the young Hutcherson and Ray particularly infectious, sweet, funny and at the same time so incredibly sincere. In that respect, kids always do much better with their puppy love than their adult variants.
Highly recommended for fans of the genre and at the same time this is a film for the whole family that leaves everyone with a good feeling.

Nice film about a boy who falls in love for the first time and doesn't know how to deal with it. A charming and entertaining film with a fast pace and ditto editing. The two young protagonists don't do it right, but they are fun. The course is a bit too predictable for 3.5 stars.

Very, very nice movie. A small film about pure love from the eyes of a boy of 10. Beautifully acted, no cliches. Keep surprising. Wonderful mix between romance, drama and comedy with an emphasis on the first two styles. Amazing how the development is visualized without making big leaps. The mimicry of the small actors is very well portrayed. After seeing this movie you want to get on a plane and go to New York
