A Scottish aristocrat goes to fight for Bonnie Prince Charlie and leaves the care of the house where he lives to his brother. After the defeat at Culloden, he is nearly lured into a trap by the English. Believing that his brother has cheated on him, he flees and plunges into a life of adventure.
