Meh. It's better than Waugh's previous film (Hidden Strike), but still mediocre.
Although there was a little more budget for the CGI (still mediocre), but it lacked that Expendables feeling. Bland cast, little humor.
I was looking forward to Iko Uwais, but that was the enemy. Shame. The rest are a dime a dozen, except for a few nice kills.
Why does DFW still hire idiots for subtitling? It was again full of exclamation marks and the most hopeless language errors (too many instead of too many, close instead of close to, "I won't go further than this", incorrect simple past tense, "welded shut" = soldered shut??, and lots of space errors ).
Learn Dutch or find another job that doesn't poison the language skills of thousands of moviegoers.

Tip in movies: if an important character is found charred, he is not dead. Easy. This trick is used too often. And if you haven't noticed yet, Fox says somewhere in the middle that Stallone's death caused a certain file to surface. Then every viewer will understand that the death was staged. So I spent the entire movie waiting for Stallone to return. In the end it was only the last 5 minutes.
Anyway, the fourth part of a series that is not very special to me. Apparently I saw them all in quick succession in 2018, but little of it stuck. This fourth part does it with a lot fewer heroes from the 80s, but fortunately with a lot of Statham and actually every scene with him works. Every scene without him doesn't work. The action is okay, the CGI is hideous (no really, this is really not possible in 2023). In any case, a lot of the humor misses the point and the acting is mediocre. We know about Fox, but 50 Cent takes the cake. The only nice moment is that at one point 50 Cent pumps out of the speakers, but that's it. 2.0*.
