The Grandmother plot
"To live is to die."
An imaginative 10-year-old boy has a problematic life. He still wets his bed and his parents mistreat him. One day in a spare room he finds a bag of seeds which he then plants on a piece of soil that he has in the middle of his bed. The seed germinates and grows into a grandmother, who is caring and loving towards him.
