'Fallen Kingdom' follows Owen and Claire who return to Isla Nublar several years after the events of 'Jurassic World'. A volcano on the island threatens to erupt, endangering the remaining dinosaurs. But it has to be said, the first hour, with the icing on the cake, the volcanic eruption, was the best. Spectacular natural disaster that was beautifully designed. On the other hand, that also perfectly illustrates the problem of this film. In a movie about dinosaurs, a volcano eruption should never be the highlight.
The dinosaurs have become a bit boring in the meantime. Again and again the same species that are reviewed, with the same "exciting" scenes in action. This fifth film is an inception of references to earlier parts, which sometimes makes it seem like you're watching a rerun.
Unfortunately, the new material doesn't offer much fodder. Wicked scientists, money-hungry bad guys and a wise lesson about life and the man who plays God. It's best not to dwell on it too long, or the prudish and one-sided American bullshit could seriously get on your nerves.
Unfortunately, the second hour is a measure for nothing. Shame to see a director like JA Bayona do this. The umpteenth that is mangled into uniformity by the great Hollywood machine. Fallen Kingdom is flat franchise work, with some impressive volcano vicissitudes and a lot of nothing else.

Well I think lava is at least 600 degrees so if that comes near you you can already shake it. So after the 3rd lava scene I was already done with it, especially if they are going to knock it away or head it away. Really laughable. But reasonably doable as a filling of your day or evening.
