“Don't worry, I'm not making the same mistakes again.”

“No, you're making all new ones.”

Nice second Jurassic Park movie. After all these years, the film's biggest flaw is still that ridiculous ending with a T-Rex on the mainland, but luckily the scenes on the island provide enough tense moments. Too bad Sam Neill couldn't/wouldn't come back, but of course you can't go wrong with Goldblum. I'd forgotten how irritating Julianne Moore is in this movie, and I was hoping she'd be a quick snack for the T-Rex.

Kind of the same time two... Entertaining, but the magic of the first, much smaller version, definitely doesn't make it anymore. I didn't expect either.

And then again the tough men with guns and "the military"... well, don't do anything.

I had seen this sequel before, but after reviewing it, I was somewhat disappointed. The level of the first part is never reached and the innovative part is of course also gone.

It also doesn't really help that the script is very mediocre and that little effort has been made to come up with something original. Basically we're looking at almost the same thing, only they try to surpass it by, for example, writing two T-rex dinos and a young one in the script.

Fortunately, it all remains entertaining and sometimes exciting, but as said it is almost all a repetition of moves.

Visually there is little to criticize, the setting is also quite ok and time flies by because of the rather strong tempo that Spielberg maintains.

Half reduction, 3*
