Great sequel. Excellent entertainment, a feast of recognition for the fans of the first hour.

A reboot cannot save the franchise either.

In itself I like the idea of a reopened park. I live in good hope in the first 15 minutes, and these minutes are the best in the movie.

Then they come up with a genetically modified dinosaur. The idea alone is just ridiculous. Add to that completely unbelievable and annoying characters and my high hopes (mentioned above) were immediately exchanged for annoyance.

The humanization of the raptors was already annoying in part 3. In this movie they go one step further and look like lap dogs that can teach you all kinds of tricks. The addition of the army boys does more harm than good to the story.

I have nothing against the addition of animals like the Mosasaur. But the animal pictured here is 3 times too big. By the way, how can he pluck the dino from the dry on the latter? Previously, people were still safe there eating an ice cream.
The final battle with the raptor and the T-Rex against the newcomer is really ridiculous and totally unbelievable.

Instinctively, a 1.5 is still too much. But since I thought part 3 was even worse, I'll have to.

Due to the new Jurassic World movie, which is now in cinemas, I am reviewing the entire Jurassic Park/World series.

I can still remember that before the release the expectations were so high that it could only be disappointing. Nevertheless, the makers have succeeded in making an exciting (family) blockbuster that does have some comparisons with Spielberg's original. Some moments from Jurassic Park are mentioned subtly and less subtly, but never too exaggerated.

Although the plot is quite simple, there are still some important things going on in the background. Since mankind has already grown tired of a T-rex after a few years, everything is done to keep them happy. A monster is created that, of course, leaves a trail of destruction and the protagonists have to do everything in their power to make it come to a happy ending.

Those lead actors in the form of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are an excellent duo with great chemistry. Add to this the fact that the park is beautifully rendered, the dinosaurs look terrifyingly real and the action is highly entertaining.

After the Jurassic Park version of 1993, this is my favorite movie in the series.

3.5* stood and remain standing.
