Gone plot

Gone is set against the backdrop of a prestigious private school, an ominous forest, and the quiet city of Bristol. It is a chilling mystery that centers on local headmaster Michael Polly, who becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife, Sarah. Michael is a respectable member of the community, inscrutable, and he loves order and precision in his work. Until he meets the highly intelligent and courageous detective Annie Cassidy and begins a compelling cat-and-mouse game, in which she gradually dismantles his facade in her search for the truth.
