Hill Street Blues plot

In Hill Street Blues we follow the ups and downs of the staff of a police station located in the fictional Hill Street in a big city with no name. Command is in the hands of Captain Frank Furillo who has his hands full trying to rein in his own staff, as well as the prosecutors and lawyers who barge into his office at random, not to mention his ex-wife Fay and his mistress Joyce Davenport, who is also a pro bono lawyer and is therefore regularly diametrically opposed to him. His right-hand man is Sergeant Esterhaus who takes over many of the internal problems.
